Given the storms moving through parts of the country, we decided to head up I-35 from San Antonio, Texas to Waco, Texas. I have been a huge Joanna and Chip Gaines fan for many years, so a trip to the Magnolia Silos was an exciting excuse to head North! On the way out of San Antonio we had our first hiccup - the coach water pump stopped working. Jim determined we would have to order a new one as soon as we got to Waco; also, the starter was acting up and we needed to order one of those. But wait...there's more! We realized quickly that we had no hydraulics (translation; no levelers). So from now until we get to Tennessee and the WanderWorks Wanderlodge Hospital, we will not have levelers. Not the end of the world, but just one more thing that would have to be fixed. Life is never dull with this old Bird! Fortunately, Amazon came to the rescue and we were able to order and get both parts shipped to the RV Park (Camp Fimfo; more about that later!)
Since we were going to be in Waco for a couple of days, and we planned to go to Magnolia Silos one day, Jim wanted to see where the Branch Davidian tragedy occured as well. Fortunately, we had found a place to stay in Waco that had nice level spots, a mini Waterpark and saltwater pool with a bar inside the pool. Not a bad place to get "stuck" for a few days!
